Well as a case in point, the ThinIce engine is very pretty and/extreemly/ fast (I have used it over a dialup!). I would rellly like KDE to have this. Or even just a 'light' theme for KDE which did a similar thing (i.e. no Pixmaps)
Just before I begin, the following is an idle wonder... Surely Qt must have somewhere some theme engine support (a based upon the observation that even Qt 1.44 could render different frames etc. in Windows and Motif styles). ISTR that the docs for Qt 1.44 said you could add more. Could not someone write one that was a stub for the GTK Theme engines or are they a fundamentally different architecture?
