for all I know they are in on it too, but where ever I live I have usually listened to the local college radio stations. They play a variety of music and I dont have to listen to the prepackged crap (too much).
setup your machine, firewall it, start logging all your trafic for a month or so. Then deny all traffic to/from any thing that scanned your system at the telco. this has kept me from getting the same cease and desist letters other ppl have.
Well I work at IBM and here's how it goes: the customer just screams until they get a marketing rep to call about 4 layers of managment. Then no matter where the problem lies, we get to go fix it. So try that, it seems to work quiet well for everyone else:-)
