Isn't there SOMETHING else going on in the computer world right now?
news.bbc.co.uk has a story called "Life gets serious for Linux" with a link to the CeBIT technology fair which is going on in Hannover from the 22nd to the 28th of March. --
The thing that drives me mad is that the departments that JonKatz uses on his story submissions always have hyphens on the ends as well as in the middle! It's just so inconsistent!

I think the average slashdot thread would compress very well:)
That's why I read slashdot through a 'gzip compressed ssh forward' to a fast proxy server when I'm on my dial-up connection. You can get page downloads at over a 100Kb/s with this method.
Out of interest: Does anyone (UK or globally) provide a compressed link to a high-speed proxy server for dial-up users? It sounds like a good commercial idea to me. --
As I recall one of the largest problems with cloning is that the age of genetic material which you use as a source remains in the formed clone. I.e. If you take cells or other material from a fifty year old man and make a baby with them then the baby is genetically fifty years old when created and likely to die at an early age.
Well http://www.uk.kernel.org doesn't have 2.4.4 yet and I don't know whats going on at http://www.us.kernel.org!

Apache can send Content-MD5 headers if told to and can act as a proxy server. It might be easy to hack something together...
--
My advice is run Mozilla and use this cookperm.txt file. (Based on the list of advert servers from here)
--
Oh well, I wonder if it'll run WinME instead? That would be perverse.

"LiQuid" isn't as bad as it looks, I use it myself - Am I breaking the law?
--
That said, I have nothing against JonKatz's writing or opinions infact I think he's quite good.
Sorry about that...

I think it looks like a good background text on the beginnings of linux, so I bought it.

Lose the Java support, and you've got a fantastic browser
Program it in Java and it fits in 4k - HtmlViewer.java. ;-)
(Oh yeah, plus the JDK @ 40Mb

It isn't as simple as it first appears.

Do you have a HPT366 ide controller. It's part of the chipset on Abit BE6 etc.
