Drop to a dos shell ( in windows) attrib -r -h -s c:\io.sys; adel c:\io.sys; copy c:\windows\command\ebd\io.sys c:\ this solves all the dos limitations and gives you full F8 and shutdown rights that you want. The never crippled windows, just io.sys
