I'm confused, when was Monsanto mentioned in the article, or the video for that matter? They are attempting to give potatoes resistance to a certain bacteria. This is hardly an evil thing to do. Some may bang pots and pans about genetically modified foods, but all vegetables we eat have had their destinies guided by a human hand.
I don't disagree that Monsanto's bending intellectual property laws is frightening, but I don't think the experiment here was in the same vein in the least (at least not yet).
