For a mitm attack to succeed with Convergence, two notaries would have to collude. I think I'd pick one Microsoft notary and one Google notary and trust that they would never collude.
Seriously though, has anyone poked any serious holes in the Convergence protocol yet? It sounds pretty solid to me.
