Linux-Mandrake has been quite good on GNOME support in the past (not great, but good), but it has always promoted itself as a KDE-based distro. I think that this was a wise choice in the past, as GNOME was not very stable until October GNOME. But now that a "real" stable version has been released, will Linux-Mandrake consider replacing KDE with GNOME as the default desktop environment in the future?. Considering how wonderful the Helix GNOME release is and also the work that Eazel is putting into the GNOME shell, I would be curious to see if this is even being considered.
I have one of those wonderful S3 Virge/GX cards and it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. I always had problems with games until I bought the Voodoo2 add-on so that it could handle the 3D. Everything I've read about their chips in respect to 3D has been *very* dissapointing. BLAH BLAH BLECH!
They already have. Check out http://sourceforge.net/projects/ltp/
I verified this. I will alert the developerWorks team to this. Thanks for finding it.

Yeah, but the free Stereo plug-in that comes with XMMS is just about as good.
Sorry to be a tard, but I forgot something..
I found this out on Linux.com's interview with him...just posted today.
Bowie J. Poag of Propaganga fame is already starting exactly this at www.system12.com
