To recreate this for yourself just pgp encrypt everything you have and find a way to make the keys expire... possibly based on salt from the time date stamp etc...
I'm using one called sensiva from http://www.sensiva.com> right now as a matter of fact and have been for a month or so now... it works great for surfing draw a line to the left to nav back right for forward.
btw i know it's not really a hacker movie but I think it portrays what I consider to be a big part of the hacker ethic
