That's what I was thinking...kinda convenient that this guy has made 3 record-breaking Pi calculations, and they ALL came up Pi...! Someday, maybe our children can be fortunate enough to find out that the google'th digit of Pi is, you guessed it, 0.
[The guy could have had at least more imagination...but then, if he's breaking records, who's gonna argue? Who's gonna say "erm, isn't it 4?"]
Well, the question to ask is, did they already film the Mir TV show? Or is it still in production? Perhaps the network will toss in just enough cash to keep it going until they need to. Never underestimate the networks:)
True, but at least we got a cheap, Dr Who-ish version that we can watch:)
My question is: How much of the 'trilogy' will be contained in the movie, if it's really made?
Yes, I agree. Perhaps I'm never really killing anyone, but my best ballet-like moves, spinning around corners, double jumping up everything, etc, are all in REM. It's so beautiful, it hurts...then again, playing Quake awake hurts too:)

Usually, when something is taken off IMDB, though, it's because it's either a hoax, or the plans for that aren't really solid at all. In this case, according to upcomingmovies.com, it's just not very solid. No real cast announced yet, 2002 is a *tentative* filming date, and the most solid thing is that "author Douglas Adams expects a 2002 release, which suggests a production start sometime in the next 18 months"

Don't forget the obvious Plut* entry, Plutonium :)
