First of all, this is a third-party add on to mozilla. It is done by someone at mozdev.org.
Most of us mozilla coders are busy working on *bugs* but there are also features that is neccesary to implement. Most of the features implemented are *not* "cool" features but neccesary ones.
If you want to fix a bug then go ahead, and help out! I'm annoyed by all the people that just whine; help out with something god damnit! You don't need to be a programmer to join the project, you can clean up Bugzilla, chat on #mozilla on IRC or whatever, help out newbies etc.
I suggest that you take a look at the latest nightly for linux/windows/mac that which is available via mozilla.org every morning.
This Protozilla project is in no context official! It's a Mozdev project, therefor it doesn't have anything to do with Mozilla.org!
So, why is the topic "Mozilla.org releases Protozilla"?
One good thing would be to do like the altavista spider, but to display the search results in the order of links to that site.
For example, if i search for "Linux" then the most linked linux site (probably linux.com) would be display as number 1 and so on..
Actually, there were a couple of rumors on http://www.mosr.com a while ago that said that Mac OS X may be in the works for Intel processors.
Also, i remember some old rumors about the Yellow box (Cocoa) in Mac OS X and that Yellow Box was to be a cross-platform for Intel and PPC processors!
FYI, domän is swedish for domain. So, this is intended for swedish or other nordic countrys to use. But that doesn't explain why you can't nslookup it!?
What!? It's far more important to first of all support the nordic characters like å,ä and ö. And all keyboards can type it so why not?
Chinese and Japanese characters can't be typed with Nordic/American keyboards, so that'
s just silly. For example, look at the.nu domains. They support all usual alphanumeric characters + å, ä and ö.

Just a tip: don't rewrite!
Check out this story about rewriting software.
I just wanted to correct you, you don't write "UNIXes" it's Unices. Sorry for being picky :)
