Qwerty is just like the English measurement system. It's horrible, but too deeply set (at least in the US) into society to change easily. I learned the Dvorak layout a while back, and like it waaayyy better than Qwerty. There's not nearly as much strain, and practically everything you type is on the home row. Because most computers are still configured to use Qwerty, I do maintain that layout; it's pretty easy to go from one to the other after some practice. Rarely have I encountered compatibility problems: even Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+S are a habbit now.
Really, that's like saying "switch to Macs because Windows are the most attacked by hackers!". It's just because they're more popular. I guaran-dang-tee you that IIS servers aren't any safer than a LAMP stack.
Concur. I run it for weeks straight with no problems. As for addons, I only use user scripts and Adblock. Greasemonkey doesn't work, but Scriptish does. Adblock works great too.

If you have to have a bulky power source, it's hardly very practical. Don't misunderstand though, I think it's pretty cool. Are the solar cells actually the circuit? Would it be possible to get enough voltage from the skin?
I wonder what kind of microphone they used and how they attached it to the circuit. And how did they monitor heart-rate?
The video didn't demonstrate any drastic improvements since the last time I saw this exoskeleton a couple of years ago. Sounds like the biggest thing they changed is lower power consumption. Interesting that they're talking about when it will appear in cinema, instead of when it will appear in a real-life situation. "Follow the money" I guess.
In my humble opinion, it's not so much "the user is an idiot" as much as "the user doesn't need built-in functionality to change every flippin' thing via a GUI". Note though that I'm talking about Classic Gnome, not Gnome Shell: don't know much about Shell.
Everything about it still looks like it was designed by a developer, IMHO. Maybe I just need to really try it and get used to it. So much gray though...
