    In addition to above two points, it is also important to remember that Microsoft is a constantly moving target. Even if you had the source code, and even if you could create usable documentation from that source code, and even if you could distribute that documentation, by the time anyone could design, write, and test code that could interoperate with Microsoft software, Microsoft will have changed the API via Windows Update, and your code will be broken. Microsoft does not *want* to document their API because that would be indicative of commitment to that API.

    You really need to stop thinking that way. Even if you are a U.S. Citizen, I doubt that you specifically are looking for a reason to hit Iran.

    While you meant to say that the bush administration will find some reason, I doubt that you wish to be associated with some illegal bush administration action.

    Don't use 'we' when you don't mean it!

    No. There are other reasons however.
    It could *appear* to be timezone related,
    but it could be due to geography (via subnets).

    At minimum, you could blame it on a bug.

    Alternatively, it could be a feature.

    Are you sure you trust what you see on the Internet?

    Well, you can get that with a power strip, but, you're right, people are lazy. And, sure, it's inconvenient to use your car when you have multiple devices to charge, not to mention that many cars are not setup to give you a charging port these days. Maybe the best course is to avoid use of these portable devices, and pay attention to the real world around you.

    There is another angle. Microsoft is gaming the system to give
    legitimacy to "software patents". They will setup a situation
    later where all parties involved in the lawsuit are really under
    control of Microsoft, and one party will 'lose', and MS will
    bail them out. MS does not care how much money they lose on
    such a bogus lawsuit, as long as they can set a legal precedent.

    Remember, "software patents" is the only weapon that MS has that
    they can use to attack GNU/Linux.

    should also be free (as in freedom).
