I added space too, but I wouldn't call it amazingly easy. The newer units shipping have locked hard drives, so you need a computer running Linux and have to do a tricky and potentially hazardous cable swap if you want to back up the original hard drive (a good idea in case you screw up). Still, I now have a 127 hour unit, and that made it worthwhile. For anyone contemplating this, here's the FAQ regarding TiVo hacking: http://www.tivofaq.com/hack/faq.html
Every time I read a Mir story, I'm reminded of twistedtunes' song parody, Spacestation Oddity. 28.8 quality, ISDN quality. (Hope these links work. I'm not able to test them right now.)
One of my (other) ZeroKnowledge Systems nyms looks to the outside world like it originates from Canada. It'll be interesting to see if that will be enough to let me use their service.

Here's an idea: have Mir take out an Iridium satellite or two on its way down. Sorta two birds (so to speak) with one stone.

It's 'Edward' R. Murrow. Perhaps you can get a job as a /. fact checker.
I can hear it now coming over the PA system: "Billingsly, get up off your ass!"
