An unfair comparison. The Virtual Boy was monochrome (red! jeez!!) and low-res. Furthermore it sits in a fixed (even if adjustable) position. This means you have to constrain your head to a particular angle and height. A truly wearable display will allow you to move your head at will. Do you think your 17" high res desktop monitor would be comfy if you had to strap your head into a fixed bracket to use it?
