Exactly! I was getting very, very angry last night watching the CNN ticker and not seeing Browne. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he beat Hagelin in every single state? (except New York).
I always respected CNN before this, assuming they wouldn't do anything this stupid. Whatever happened to journalistic integrity???? I was too busy getting mad at CNN to watch any other channels and see what they were saying about Browne. Did anyone else witness the other networks?
I'm definitely writing a strongly worded letter to CNN, and I will do my best to not patronize their corporation until this issue is acknowledged (and resolved!).
I'm much more excited about the Massachusetts senate race than the presidential one. Just look at those numbers Carla Howell (the babe of the LP) is getting! Very exciting, with Massachusetts being such a Democratic-voting state.
I voted for Browne, naturally, but as Craig Kilborn put it (paraphrasing), "One thing is for certain. Harry Browne will never be president."
The other fun part is the questions on the ballot, especially #2... all you Massholes out there better be voting No! or I'm gonna squeal on you for all that pot smoking you've been doing, and take away your right to vote away disgusting drug laws.
I know it's quite obvious here with your example of murderers versus drug users, but where do you draw the line? Then again, maybe you think casual drug users are evil.
The only plausible solution is to not limit the vote at all based on this, as is done in my state (Massachusetts) and two others (as far as i know).

p.s. Any Massachusetts people out there, please vote No! on Question 2 to prevent this stuff from happening.
OK, I exchanged some email from my dad, and what I said was indeed correct, except that it was St. Petersburg, Russia, not Germany, where a man stole money through the Internet. I'll leave it to someone else to find out the details.
like one of the comments in the article said, no one has ever stolen money from a bank (that we know of) over the net.
Well, I've just waisted 15 minutes of my life trying to find information on TLC's Ultimate Ten Heists documentary, but I just don't care enough to work too hard.
My point, though, is that (assuming I remember correctly) a bank has been robbed over the internet. It was number nine on the ultimate ten heists on that special. Some guy in Germany (i think) stole a very large sum of money from Citibank. I remember this because TLC interviewed my dad for this segment of the show, and he's the main guy who gets to talk about it (I tried to contact him for information, but he's not around right now, and knowing the pace of/. stories, it would be worthless to wait to post). Pretty cool, eh?
If someone else wants to find some info, I'm sure we'd all be pleased.

(I don't mean to advocate this treaty, just wanted to point out a legitimate purpose here).
Corporations don't really have any power of you; no more than I have power over you. The government can (and does) pass laws to make you its bitch. Of course, the government also has the power to make you a corporate bitch, which is why the Republicrats are bad, very bad. Hence, Libertarianism is the way to go.
I am voting Browne, despite all the loud-mouthed socialist bastard Nader fans both on/. and at my school.
And remember, everyone: you are under no obligation to buy Big Macs and wear Nikes on your feet. If you do, I can have no sympathy for your whining.

(And isn't a total moron about everything else!)
Do you mean to mock Nader, or Browne? Surely you must like at least one of them!
