DARE does stupid things, and that message is clearer than what they preach. I have seen ads showing guns, knives, etc and then a marijuana joint. Yal, sure, weed is just like killing people. Come on, kids are smarter than that. Ads like those immediately turn away those that might have been impacted by the overall message. They discount it immediately based on FUD, and an extreme over-exageration of reality. Speaking for myself, and a whole lot of other people, I have smoked weed on more than one occassion (probably 1000 times), and never once felt the need to kill people, inject heroine, or felt like I could fly from a 60 story building. I have thought that some of the DARE people should try the latter tho...:)
