I think that the ID Cards used at my school are completely better than fingerprinting (I've never used mine because I dont eat in the lunch room.) because what about the kids who don't wash their hands? I wouldnt want to put my finger where that nasty kids finger had been....
Why prevent people from making copies of their DVDs onto VHS tapes? If people legally own the dvd then they should have the right to make their own personal backup of it. What if they wanted the copy to take it to a relatives house to watch it, but the relative didnt have a DVD? That means that you're SOL on that one.
It is impossible to be "cool" and paint yourself with a broad brush of the "I am X" ilk at the same time.

My answer is Yes. I'm open about my computer knowledge at school but I still go to the parties, dances, and I do have a girlfriend. If someone asks me a question about computers, I'll answer it in the most dumbed down way possible (Cause thats how 90% of the population understands it) and I get a polite "Thanks". I've got tons of friends and lots of people know my name. I also start on the wresetling team...To achieve all this, you just gotta start talking to people and most importantly, *be yourself*. And yes, Clinton, I'm 15 too.
My question to you is: If you could be some sort of big jock that plays football and runs track, wears his letter jacket and gets tail 24/7... would you? Or would you stay a geek like the rest of us at slashdot?
At my high school all the teachers use a program for Windows called WinSchool. It will keep attendance and tardies, average and print grades, and record and store them to a network hard drive. The downside is, I dont know the price to it. The teachers do seem to be able to use it just fine.
