    Nope not stupid.

The FCC normally does not allow one to broadcast at all, except low power in bands that are considered not useful for commercial concerns. The exceptions to this are things like CB (which used to require a licence) and the "family radio" bands which were recently released. Therefore a band which is screwed up by all the Microwave ovens is a perfect one to give away! (the FCC is constantly trying to steal bandwidth from ham radio to SELL to commercial concerns. Don't ever believe it when somebody from the government says that they are working for YOU.)

A friend recently gave me an old Apple //e computer with about 1000 (estimated) disks full of every program that I drooled over when I was 12 years old. (including a CP/M card!) It actually was quite fun for about 2 weeks going through a bunch of it, but I finally (and somewhat reluctantly) put it all in the trash. I just couldn't think of a real reason to keep it all.

Just make sure you compile from the sources and don't just take a binary copy!

I also heard there was a backdoor in the original BO. Has anyone confirmed this? What info did it actually send?

And if they are "processed faster" the job would be done sooner and they would be back to sending duplicate blocks so that everyone would think that things are still happening.

In other words, nothing would change, things would just become more inefficient, as was previously argued.

Doesn't the theory of reletivity state that certain constants (specifically the speed of light, and its associated limits) must remain the same regardless of the position of the observer and the object being observed?
The example that I have always seen used is that if two poeple were riding motorcycles, each travelling at .9 of the speed of light (measured by an outside observer), the closing speed (measured by the rider) would NOT be 1.8 times lightspeed due to the slowing of time.

Or is the direction (approaching vs. departing) of the two objects also a factor here?
