For people in Chapel Hill (the home of UNC), for a few years people could get a free DIAL-UP e-mail address and use of gopher (hehe.) But as all things go, launchpad was dismantled, and people were suppossed to use Sunsite (HTTP access, but no email address included.) Then sunsite was trashed.
