first, the ip address changing to 169.x.x.x isn't something new to win2k. it does it on win9x boxes, too. second, i don't think an extra two megs of kernel memory is too much extra considering everything that win2k does over nt.
uh... ok. i'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with fs encryption in linux. what is it doing here?
