I think is was a logical step to stop pruducing K6 and older CPU's, for as far a I know there will be a special version of the Duron (don't ask me about the name of this new think) for the embedded market.
Furthermore I don't share the opinion that INTEL will gain a greater market share, for Athlon Systems are superior to Intels PIII and even the P4. A port of Athlon / Duron Technology would only ensure competition, giving us, the customers a greater variety of GOOD and FAST (nobody wants to be second in this competition) CPS to shoose from
all your crappy cpu belong to us
When will it ever stop?
I think that there are already enough Linux distros? Nowadays, most distributions are derived for either RedHat (my personal favourite, SuSE or Debian. When we strip it of the admin and installation GUI, all are pretty much the same. Why a new one? I think that most of the/. readers prefer getting their tools as up-to date source, so the packages that are included in a distribution shouldn't me sooo important.
I just say: Better develop new useful proggies that wasting time on building a distribution.
... are belong to us
I don't understand so much of the pdf standard.... but does it execute only when read by a specific reader, e.g. adobe acrobat, or is it independant of the pfd reader
And furthermore, how long will it take before.txt files will carry viruses. I for myself will switch back to pen and paper. (AD&D persuaded me to do so, de P&P version is clearly superior to the digital one)
yeah.
i was a newbie once myself, but - thank God - I found somebody deep into the matter who helped me getting started with this "penguin thing".
today I'm a linux sysadmin at a quite large telecommunication company in austria, and I always try to help "newbies" for as far as I know, nobody starts as a pro.
So if you need help - carna and all others - feel free to contact me [mailto:jlemmerer@node.at], i will try to help as good as i can. (but give me some hours for i have also other work to do.
bye

Don't meddle in the affairs of sysadmins, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
