  1. Conan O'Brien already addressed this on The Unblinking Eye · · Score: 3

In his opening monologue he made a joke to the effect of: yeah they didn't actually find any criminals until they pointed the cameras onto the field.

  2. Re:Funny Line on Candidates' Positions On Internet Filtering · · Score: 1

It was Gore and he was joking that Bush's idea of Internet filters wouldn't work because the parents would need the children to install the filter for them or something along those lines.

  3. Invention of the Internet on Politicians, Napster, And The Invention Of The Net · · Score: 1

I think it's time this was finally cleared up once and for all. Gore actually invented genetic engineering, not the internet. In an attempt to create an Al Gore that appeared alive he accidentally created and evil clone that has spread all of these lies. Seriously though, it seems that both of the main candidates have some serious misconceptions about the internet. If you're going to vote for one of them I would put more weight into other issues. I don't think that either one could seriously screw the internet up no matter how poorly they understand it.

  4. What a bunch of bullsh*t on Dark Hearts And The Net · · Score: 2

This has to be one of the most liberally biased articles I've ever read posted here. If you don't like Bush how about coming up with something substantial instead of trying to peg him with this crap. Not only was in a very minor comment in the debate but most politicians have this misconception. Regardless, I'd rather have a president with this misconception than one who thinks he created the internet. Tell me which is the deeper misunderstanding of the reality of techno-culture. But hey, if you want a tree hugging liberal that has changed positions more times than Jenna Jameson to inflate the national government then vote gore in 2000.
