Um...there must be some universal rule at work here. The universal law that basically says "the first time you post a comment at say, slashdot, you'll use angle brackets to contain the URL you're citing which will make it invisible in the post, causing you to look like a colossal idiot."

Actually I don't think he ever claimed to have invented the Internet. He said he'd taken a leadership position on it's development. This, as I see it, is a minor exaggeration at worst.
