Encryption between the keyboard and the OS would be OK, I guess, but it depends how "close" to the keyboard the bug is.. If it's at the computer end, fine, but if the bug is in the keyboard itself...
The keyboard has to recieve the keys you type in clear at some point before it could encrypt them and send them to the computer.
You'd just have to learn to type in 1024 bit RSA to get around that one.
