It is BioArt and excited. Jalila Essaïdi grew the spidersilk which she got from Randy Lewis his transgenic goats and silkworms in between the dermis and epidermis of a human skin model used for animal friendly tests, creating bulletproof skin.
I've seen this project in Leiden, The Netherlands in the National History Museum, including a movie of bullets piercing and being stopped by the skin recorded at 30.000 fps.
