I have just under 60K of music files (yes, all legal) and jriver has never hiccupped once. Store the files in artist / album heirarchy and let jriver at it.
Well, finally I have the time and so at fast approaching the age of 50 and with absolutely no past musical training I decided to learn to play the squareneck dobro this past fall. So here I am now in my 8th month of once a week sessions with a teacher and really enjoying it. Will I ever achieve greatness on the instrument? No, but the journey has been great! Really wish I took this up 45 years ago.
Beware...Sonos is a beautiful device but unable to handle more than 30,000 files. I was ready to get one until I discovered that fact deep in their forums
Recently I had reason to complain about Rogers "bundling" so off to the CRTC I went. To my surprise the CRTC told me that they had no jurisdiction as the cable companies are self regulating.
Fox meet henhouse.
Sorry I don't have the links handy but it shouldn' t be too hard to google.
I would give my left nut to kick both Bell and Rogers out of my life.
I have had the opposite with my Nitrus. I bought it in the early spring and it has served flawlessly.
Mind, I did read that others had this problem before I purchased. I suspect that since I knew this going in and purchased an extended 3 year warranty the Nitrus will happily spin for 3 years and quit on the 1096th day.
I am almost looking forward to that day because then I will have a tiny hard drive to play with.
Yes, I tried all the drivers and went around and around with their tech support. They even had me try drivers for the 9500.
Anyways long story short. I could find no one anywhere that was able to over come the overscan issues which renders the output almost useless. Try using Windows missing at least 5% around the perimeter. It's a real adventure
While the output was decent enough to be legible for email etc. it was unusable due to the overscan.
ATI has left us hanging simply saying to keep checking back for updated drivers.
Definetely a product released that shoulldn't have been and my last ATI purchase (of course, I had said that 5 years ago because of their lousy drivers and support).
Did That.
Used a Shuttle SS51G with ATI 8500dv for video output to widescreen SONY using ATI HDTV component that
doesn't work.
ATI's solution? We have no solution..Tough beans. NEVER AGAIN ATI.
Oh! but cool remote input.
I'll second this.

Gotta help out a fellow Canuck. Check your mailbox.
Picked up a Dell Powervault 705N off ebay for $300 and added 4 x 120gb @ $135 drive (CAN).
So for under $1000 got a headless Raid 5 NAS.
Oh..I see..I can't play games on it.
Should have spent the extra $2000.

On and Off since September I've been trying to send video from an ATI 8500dv with an ATI dongle apparatus to a Sony HDTV without much success.
5% of the perimeter of the display is overscanned. Basically, this makes it useless.
No real fix and I haven't found anyone that is happy with the ATI product in this capacity.
Do I feel cheated...YES
That was my plan too.
Using this component to feed a widescreen TV.
