I think this may be what Raster needs to be able to work in an environment conducive to his sort of 'maverick' creativity. As for the future of E and Gnome, I like them both and use them together. My only complaint is stuck with having two 'control panels' and two themes. I think Raster's track record for creating intuitive and eye-catching tools tells us that his panel, etc., will be awesome.
