Anyone ever read "Behold a Pale Horse?" by William Cooper. If you had read it, you'd know that it says that Galileo was meant as a means to ignite Jupiter as a sun. Apparently (according to this book), NASA scientists are not only not worried about contamination of other moons, planets, etc. they know that is they were to crash it into anything other that jupiter that the 5 or so megaton bomb on Galileo would'nt make quite the same "boom" as it would if it were to explode on Jupiter. The book also says that that we would quickly have a new star in our solar system after the explosion. I dont share these opinions with the author, who if I remember right claims to be an Ex-Naval Intelligence Officer, but it does make an interesting read. There are others subjects in the book like, the IRS, FEMA, etc... Get info here.
