Internet anti-DiVX campaigns which initially spammed the likes of Fox and DreamWorks (which were originally supposed to be DiVX-only houses, under contract) with enormous call volumes made sure the restrictive format was stillborn. This copy protection scheme is not going to happen, simply because the informed consumer, teamed up with the hardware makers themselves, will make it emminently clear that this "obliteration" controlware is not welcome. I'm sure that it will simply be replaced with something akin to Macrovision, which is easily overridable.

Well, one of these things that is not unresolved seems to be that the vector sum of the force along the direction of the axis between the magnet and the interfering metal disc would be zero. Another one would be that the amount of energy used to flip the high-voltage switch would almost certainly (unless this switch were itself superconducting) exceed the propulsive force (if any at all) generated by this thing. Yet another might be the amount of liquid helium needed to keep this thing at -300C for a sufficiently long amount of time. Just some thoughts.
If OS X is vapor, then what am I looking at/. with right now? Runs quite nicely on my G3/266. A friend is running it on an iMac, another running it on top of Darwin on an old 603e PPC Mac.
Hey there! Tried that multiple times. Palm's phone maze is completely impossible to get a real human on. Their e-mail support is also generated by a 'bot and comes back with stuff you already tried like "Try flashing your palm." So, yes, I have tried contacting palm, and I finally got them to give me an RMA. I guess I will have to exchange the device. The box should be coming Airborne Express any day now... Thanks!
