From the serious to the absurd...

On: Dmoz (aka AOL) Changing Guidelines In Sketchy Way

The new guidelines harms good communities who deal with issues that are serious... and issues that are absurd... Recently, I found myself caught in a heated debate over what to do with a DMOZ category for "bootleg" action figures... http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Collecting/Toys/Bootleg _Toys/ you know, the "Supaman" action figure made in mexico... apparently, that category is no longer okay by the new guidelines, or risks being not okay... so we are trying to rename it or something... oh the absurdity of it all...
