* People don't have expectations about what should work on their tablets. They aren't going to be all, "But what about Excel on my Tablet!"
Unfortunately this is just not true. A lot of end users are frustrated that they cannot use all the apps from the iPhone on their Android device. They may have different expectations now in terms of what will be on a PC or Tablet, but there are definitely still expectations and assumptions made for each platform.
The Scouring of the Shire was actually one of my favourite parts of Return of the King. The final battle felt really overstretched, like Tolkien was having trouble keeping track of his characters by that point, and it was good to return to a more well constructed chapter.
It also resolves the character arcs for Saruman and Wormtongue - something the movie (even the extended edition) failed to do.
I would definitely have been happier to see that as the finale rather than twenty minutes of 'everyone gets old and gets on a boat'.
Wait let me start again... Do you know where the time machine is?
Might work better as 'Teenage Alien Invader Ninja Turtles'....
And now kids are playing violent games and I know whyyyyyyy....

...in the morning, I shall be sober.
It's a bit of a damp squid.
