I agree. Don't buy DVD's until They stop being so draconian about their use.
The problem is there aren't enough of us (people that are aware of the issue, care about the issue, are willing to do a little something about the issue) to significantly dent the profits of the Big Corporations.
For each person that votes with their feet there will be one hundred, or one thousand, that tromp down to Best Buy to "get one of them thar DVD things that I saw there on the TeeVee. They says it's just goin' down the movies."
I argue that the masses will overwhelm a boycott with their robot like consumerism.
You won't see a change today. Probably not tomorrow either. Change is slow in politics.
Politicians will learn to respect electronic forms of communication, espically after we vote for the ones that respond better. I'm talking about a local elections. We don't elect the president, but we elect the people that elect the president. It's up to us to pay attention and make informed votes.

This gets to the heart of the issue in America. We don't just need less poluting cars; we need less cars.
Suburban Sprawl is in full effect. It doesn't matter how efficent cars are. It is inherently inefficent to drive 50 miles a day.
If you're concerned about polution from cars live and work downtown. Drive rarely. Vote for better public transportation.
