  1. Dana Scully on Einstein's 1,427-Page F.B.I. File · · Score: 1

Ok, surely the FBI had its dark sides.
However, Dana Scully works there, so it
    can't be all bad!

    Bram (Dana's biggest fan).

  3. Very inaccurate article at ibm research on MicroElectroMechanical Systems in Review · · Score: 1

The article at ibm reseach is sheer nonsense.

    I quote:

"Cell phone components can't get any more compact using current chip technology"

    What a load of bullshit.

  4. GRUB is a Bootloader. on Peer-to-Peer Search Engine Wants You To Help Grub · · Score: 2

Pfff.. who came up with that name?
It's ridiculous... GRUB is a bootloader,
    not an url indexer.

Worse than that: I've built their client,
and it even clashes with binary names.
The client binary is called 'grub', which
    clashes with my /usr/sbin/grub

Please hand over the grub.org domain
to GNU, and stop confusing me.

  5. Historic usenet msg 'linux is obsolete' on Ask Slashdot: Significant Documents of the Internet · · Score: 1

I would like to nominate a usenet message
from prof Andy Tanenbaum where he proclaims
    that linux is obsolete.

I believe the news thread is still distributed
    with every linux kernel src.

Tanenbaum had some valid points, but I guess
he did not forsee linux' huge succes.

  6. Overclocking is OK for all, except for developers. on Overclockers "Stick it to the man" · · Score: 2

    Game developer that's overclocking?
    Pretty dumb I would say.

Next time his code crashes, he will NOT know
whether it is his bugged code or his
    overclocked machine.
