I think you've got to get over yourself here. It's a fun movie, it's not a Ben-Hur or Seven Samurai. It's meant to be light and enjoyable like the game. And yes it has all the stereotypes, so the hell what, it's a fantasy movie and we want the stereotypes. They remind us of the characters we used to play, this is who the movie was made for, the gamers, not the academy awards, not the critics, but the fans. Hell you probably didn't like "Big Trouble in Little China" either.

Come now if you were hardcore you should do what me and my buddies are, dress up in your favorite character class and lay siege to the castle!...er movie theater. I call upon all the Geeks in the land to rise up and rejoice, the day of judgement is at hand, no longer shall we be afraid to admit that we are gamers! Throw off the chains of social subjucation, take up arms, draw thy sword, and go forth. For, now we are truly free Geeks!!!
