  1. Version 2.0 on Rise Of The 15-Year Olds, Part II · · Score: 0

I am almost 19 years old now, I'm a web programmer in the state of texas and I would consider myself highly skilled, especially being self taught. However, I look at my niece and nephew who are being taught to use a computer in preschool and spanish in kindergarten and I fear for my own validity in the future. Will I become obsolete? I didn't use a computer until I was at least 12 and that was an apple 2e and then a 386 which I had until I was 15. I took High School spanish which consisted of watching the Lion King in espanol. I know this feeling is timeless, anyone else with any thoughts?

  2. Re:And what is power? on The Rise Of The 15-Year-Olds · · Score: 0

By 16 years old I could program in a multitude languages, put together a computer blindfolded, I was a published technical author (the book is at barnes and nobles), I ran one of the internet's largest portals, and I was still not the best computer geek I knew. We all work for companies and we are all undervalued. We are not in control, of the content or wages. It is ridiculous when I am doing the work of 3 people getting 12 dollars an hour. This is not how you pay for college.

i think the computer should have to play Risk, i mean it will really help its kind get the feel for global domination that they will need in the future when they create arnold schwarzenegger bots and eventually use us humans like batteries... thats when its time for Charlton Heston.
