    Don't bother.

Others who have posted there have had their posts deleted by the forum maintainer, (read: bob novak) in a desperate attempt to keep their customers from hearing about the way Mr. Novak has handled this.

If I say, "I got a cup of bad coffee from Starbucks," does Starbucks have a case to sue me?

    Of course not.

But that's just what happened here.

    Ouch.

I happen to be willing to support the battle financially, if I get added to the suit (yes, I do regularly post to the places Mr. Novak pulls his defendants from). Trade my family for it? No, but unless he sues for posession of my family, it's not a trade. ;-)

Even assuming our hardware is going to be fast enough (safe assumption), do we *really* want terabyte sized tables????

I'm thinking IP's, regardless of the implementation (16 bit, 124 bit, bazillion bit), should start to align with physical location. A city gets a block based on number of street addresses, and one IP is assigned per address. Period. Each individual user/business/family is responsible for their own NAT.

Just not for direct competitors. They've been making PC games for a while now. Not that they were terribly good (remember the Sonic PC ports? ick...) but they were there.

Maybe they'll be able to do some serious development on their Sonic universe. As well as some of their other games. I'd like to see it...

BTW: When's the Linux-based Console concept gonna take off? (ala: the CObalt Cube)
