  1. Steve makes a call... on Music Industry Threatens to Pull Plug on Apple · · Score: 2, Funny

Hi Bill, Steve here. Say, I know we've had a few differences in the past but how would you like to OWN THE FUCKING MUSIC INDUSTRY with me. I'll spin off iTunes into joint venture that we'll share and you and your $27.87 Billion will be used for financial backing. I have the disturbution you've got the cash to burn. And, hey, calling it itunes means apple records(assholes) can't sue me any longer.

oh you gotta mod this up...

  3. ugh... on Adobe Buys Macromedia for $3.4B · · Score: 3, Funny

Is this what all those 'futurists' were talking about when they said there'd be a 'digital convergence'?

  4. one solution to rule them all... on LCD Screen for Image Editing · · Score: 1

If you're really serious about color accuracy the one tool that's more important than whatever screen your using is simply the info palette. I've heard stories of prepress techs using monitors with totally overblown contast settings because they're not looking at an image the way a designer is but rather the way the offset press will try to recreate it as--Strictly going by the math/color values to determine how well the image will print color/contast etc...

That said, as a designer there's still a bunch of junk you have to do before you send your design to press... worrying about your monitor shouldn't be one of them.

  5. well... on Sky Captain and the Films of Tomorrow · · Score: 1

Well at least it's not Sky Marshall and the World of Today. That would have an entertainment value of, oh... absolute zero!

  6. Re:Sony.... on Sony U-70 Micro PC Reviewed · · Score: 1

If I had a need for one of these I'd probably go with the oqo as well. IMHO the built-in keyboard on the oqo raises the usability 10x that of the sony. If you have to place the sony unit on a flat surface and unfurl some compact keyboard you might as well just use your laptop.

  7. Re:Photoshop on New iPod Design Pictures Leak · · Score: 2, Insightful

indeed it may very well have been. the depth of field does seem a bit wonky and the ipod itself should have some light gradation considering the light source on Mr. Jobs. If nothing else I'm fairly sure that the ipod screen has been enchanced using photoshop, as is the style of the time.
