    I don't think the USA agreed to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and I can't see them doing so in a meaningful way these days.

    They helped write it and voted for it. A simple google would have shown you that.

    Regardless, it's not a treaty nor is it law. It's one of many meaningless yet diplomat-ego-inflating things the UN has done.

    There are a jillion places where I can run PHP + MySQL. Every web hosting company on the planet probably.

    Ruby on Rails? Probably less than 1 in 4 support it, and many of those that do don't do a good job.

    Why? Why is RoR so specialized?

    Whether it's bad for the environment or not is highly controversial...most of the "silent spring" scare stuff from crusty hippies has been discredited, but there is not much fresh research because we stopped using it.

    Is this really something that could be reduced in size to something that fits in a computer? The article didn't say what scale his equipment is - square kilometer or square inch?
