Srsly?
1) CMOS battery don't power your device
2) CMOS batteries are lithium batteries, not lithium ion batteries! That's a frigging difference one is throw away the other (li-ion) is rechargable (what this post is all about)
> Fix seems to be available for none of the systems right now
Yeah sure except for ArchLinux, Gentoo and all if I can trust the "News":"Most major Linux distros"
And I don't know why nobody mentioned that people running grsec were secure all along, because damn this is the nth major Kernel Exploit that didn't affect them.
Yeah. If you enable encryption and "External Storage" you can use OwnCloud with Dropbox,Googel Drive or whatever the hell you are using (as long as it is suppported like webdav,samba,ftp,sftp,...)
I think it didn't get clear that OwnCloud can be combined with other CloudStorage providers to store your files encrypted on them.
Linus didn't want to create a kernel at all. Linus wanted to write a terminal emulator, but soon realised that it got more compress than that quite fast.
And the reason why it succeeded as a kernel? Crazy random circumstance.
If it's about seagate hds you can take a look at seaget. With this you can dump the buffer and memory of your harddrive. Here is an explanation https://blacklotus89.wordpress... and here is the code https://github.com/BlackLotus/...
Maybe this can be used to dump the firmware as well (somehow)
I can't believe that all I read is Excel here and games there.
1) Microsoft office has a great wine compability. If you are to stupid for wine (sorry but if you really got problems with wine+ms office you maybe are) use crossover.
2) Games... The only game I never got running with wine is little fighters.seriously.I even get decent performance out of it (80-110% compared to windows).
And if this is all that's keeping you from using Linux you did less evolving than Linux did in the last few years.
Ps.
God damn it guys stop spilling bs.

I did this and more using retroarch more than 9 months ago! And I got the YouTube video to prove it https://youtu.be/DSjo3uV6Dxs
