...reinvent the wheel when you're a huge company and can just take the ideas of little ones.
Its not plagarism, its called "sweeping little secrets under the rug" =P
Come on, everyones doing it Bill...you try too okay?

He does state that "Temperatures are a bit higher then they were in my [other case]".
So I thought I'd go into it. Since its 1:30am, and heck, its not like I really need the sleep. =)
(1) I noticed that on this Oak case, I didn't see and vents of the sort. Just an extra fan. Vents are good.
(2)There is a reason that cases are metal. Besides the obvious fact that its easy to produce and its cheaper. This being that the Thermal conductivity of Aluminum is 240 W/(m*Celcius), but for Oak, this is sooo much less, ranking in at just 0.15 W/(m*Celsius).
Conduction of heat through a material is = (Thermal Conductivity)*(Cross sectional Area)*(Change in temp between the outside and the inside of the box)*(time) / (width of the wood)
So one can see that having a larger value of Thermal Conductivity allows alot more heat to transfer through. And visa versa for a smaller.
Case in point, a metal case will allow alot more heat to flow through it than a wooden case.
Hey!!! We should build houses from Wood!!! Ummm, oh ya...nevermind. =)
You can bet I'll be getting on right quick. It'll be nice to NOT hear cell phones during lecture, and NOT during exams...oh, and all those business students around campus...oh the joy I could have
MUHAHAHAHAHAA
THX really stands for "We're milking you for every single penny you got". Really, go ahead and spend a whole buch of cash on something that has 3 well known letters attached to it.
I don't think its something to get so hyped up about. Klipsch has their Pro-Media's. Don't get me wrong, they're very nice, but theres lots of other nice speakers out there too, that don't cost so much. Sadly, they don't come with the status THX symbol.
This is a pretty cool advancement. Since diamonds will be able to withstand high temperatures and high voltage, semiconductors can be taken to the next level.
Great since diamonds are a girls best friend, maybe (when, and if I get married) I could give my gf a CPU made from diamonds.
No Honey, I didn't get you a ring! This is better, trust me!!! LOL
I have found that 'Jock' types...have gentle imaginations
no kidding hey? I found that most 'Jocks' had gentle imaginations too, even from the days of them copying my math tests in grade 8, and the beat down I got when I wouldn't let them. Gentle to say the least...in fact, one could say, almost completely passively absent.
We're aggresive mentally for a reason, so we can hold a conversation. Most women I date appreciate the fact that I show intelligence.
And lastly, don't stereotype. The days of the inch think glasses, with the pocket protector geek is over. Most of us are normal people, we get rid of agression in other ways too.

Okay, this sounds like an alright idead. I like the fact that he is planning to assemble the satellite in space. Kudos on that part.
But, what happens when they realize that the 500mhz G4 cannot cope with the, what looks like, will be an increasing amount of computing power needed. Replace the whole thing? Great....
good idea I guess, to save money in the short run, but might cause alot of problems in the future, leading to that gap between the 10^6 and the 10^7 dollar range =)
Okay, well, Mr.DotComGuy, congradulations. Thanks for proving nothing to us. Only to see that F'edupCompany gave you the most points and severity level....great work!!!
I hope that for your sake though, you did sign some sort of agreement, so that you can take those wonderful sponsors to court. But heck, they'll probably just claim bankruptcy, and you're even more screwed, with the lawyer fees and everything.

Crap, cause i've been seeing smaller versions of these guys running around on my desk. Maybe I need to get some sleep or raise my refresh rate.
I mean come on...I've worked tech support, my friends have all worked tech support. When we did, all we did is sit there, read a little/. and look for stupid ways to amuse ourselves...btw. Nerf Rules
I look forward to seeing more CEO's with Knox spiked purple hair
and commercial versions won't be available for at least 20 years
I can't wait till the day when these comps come out, it will be nice to have to pay immense amounts for a computing system.
Crap, wheres my wallet?
It looks like Intel is going to have to sit on the back burner as AMD once did for so many years.
Rethink the architechture, for now, David has beaten Goliath
I think I'll just wait till the DivX ;) version comes to favorite "locations".
=)
Matt Groening has enough money.
