That's why most solar installations are tied to the grid: you help your local utility meet their peak demand during the day, and they let you use cheap electricity at night. Wind tends to blow whenever it wants to, and this power could come from a faraway wind farm in Wyoming. In fact, there were reports recently that wind farms often have to be turned off at night because there is not enough power demand: http://bit.ly/nightwindsiemens

Write once run everywhere is not exactly a new and groundbreaking concept. The Adobe AIR runtime has been out for over two years now. It includes both the Flash player and WebKit and all Adobe has done recently is to tweak their authoring tools to cover the iPhone and (presumably) the iPad.

This demo is quite obviously part of the orchestrated media push surrounding the pending CS5 release. The demo is hardly newsworthy in itself.

You mean Mosaic -- not Mozilla, right? Mosaic was the first browser, Mozilla was an internal code name used by Netscape for a a "Mosaic killer". The name was not used externally until they open-sourced their browser code.

LOL! Pretty funny - the true Nazi aspect of iPhone marketing in Germany is something else though. They won't hand you a phone once you paid your EUR 399. No, you *have* to sign a two-year contract on the spot. The activations is still done via iTunes, but unlike in the US and the UK it's largely a formality since you already took out a contract at the time of purchase.

And did I mention that there no such thing as "early termination" in Germany? You sing for 24 months, you pay for 24 months. Hardcore enough for you?
