I went to the demo site and the url http://evil.com/ appeared in klipper, I cleared the clipboard and the url http://evil.com/ was gone, I went back to the demo site and the url http://evil.com/ was back in the clipboard, so the flash definitely opened the clipboard in Firefox running in Lunux under the KDE 4.0.1 environment; it weirded me out too, I'm not used to things like that happening in Linux.
what happens is the clipboard is loaded with the url http://www.evil.com/ at the demo site; I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 un Lunux so this is pretty disconcerting to me. The Wife ran into the real deal hijack over on myYearbook,com; she thought she'd be smart and click cancel but that started to loading of the malware!
The other guy that replied to me below explained the problem even better that I did; but not working the math I'd guess that making a fusor twice as big would would increase the power loses 4 times. The guy that invented these fusors is Philo Farnsworth and Philo invented television, so this is old well understood technology here, not something new and unknown,

Those were actions because buffer-zone was invaded by a percieved threat; those countries threatened their neighbor because of the relatively greater freedom or differing religion or philosophy. One way to make a serial criminal crazy is to determine his exclusion zone, and move a real or imaginary rival into activity there.
Seems to me that there are two kinds of serial criminals, first the more common instinctual that has a profile behavior pattern and is locked into acting it out psychologically. This one is the easier to catch because the behavior eventually becomes predictable. The second one is rarer and is either going to change the MO at apparently random times after using it for a time or is completely erratic and unpredictable. The second kind is usually either not caught or caught through serendipity.
I believe that in the US the patent is awarded to the first to conceive rather than the first to file like in the EU. The result of this is a lone-wolf inventor can conceive and document, then wait years for a company like yours to receive a patent then yank the rug out from under you in court. Now you company is going to have to pay royalties on it's cash-cow.
