I completely agree! The book was NOT about foundations of ajax. It had more to do with firefox, java, and other utilities than it ever mentioned about ajax. Maybe the book would have been too small and the publishing company would not have published it. I think you could certainly learn what you needed to learn about ajax from the web and not this book.
