Telescopes Keck 1 and 2, also on top of Mauna Kea, are the largest optical telescopes in the world--10 meter diameter mirrors, if I recall (but made up of multiple parts)...Subaru is the largest _mirror_ in the world (3.something meter diameter). Of course, each type has its own advantages/disadvantages.
