I am not 100% certain on copyright laws (or if this has been said, there are too many posts to sort through)... but
I believe there is something that states you cannot single one group out for copyright infringment. So if nothing comes of this "suggestion" and they chose some sort of lawsuit, I believe they then HAVE to pursue OSSH (etc) for infringing on the copyright as well. Basically (obviously) this is only come up because OpenSSH is become more and more accepted and popular.
If you are a control-freak, Slackware is definitely the way to go. The administration tools are kept to a minimum. If you want to make things fancy, you need to set that up yourself. The result is that you slowly move towards gurudom.
NOT intending to start a distro war or anything, but for the reason above, is exactally why I think linux newbies should use Slackware, it helps them to more fully learn the basics, without pretty wrappers and guis, that can sometimes hide what some administrative processes are accomplishing.
Enough complaining about this "learns to"...
I think that this is great news, I always look forward to the new daemonnews. One of my concerns though, is if they can actually gather enough news for a print magazine, without adding too much filler. In my opinion what is released each month on the ezine is probably not enough 'as is' to be a entire print magazine.

Not a flamebait, just a thought
