But what if they didn't follow the GPL? What if they made kernel mods or wrote new drivers and didn't distribute the source? Who is going to stop them? The only dog with big enough teeth is the US Government, and we know how much good that's done. Even with a verdict against them, M$ has yet to change anything about the way they do business. And with the incoming administration it's highly unlikely that the gov't will do anything to challenge the M$ juggernaut. They've even said so.
