A Standardized point system would be the best route. Something along the lines of 50 points for a remote root (or equivalent) multiplied by a factor of two if it is included in a base install.
Elevating User privleges root could be another 20 pts, etc.
Oh and make sure that there is at least a 20 pt deduction for full disclosure.
This seems to be a very well thought out monopoly already. *Note to US Government: Wait until the technology develops beyond your control and cause extereme loss or discomfort to consumers - then you can pounce on them and obtain "compensation".
I don't think this is gonna fly, its got the body of a perfect bird but i don't think it has enough 'wingspan' to reach the right points in the market. Its gonna need alot of pros over Java, and similar technologies now for everyone to accept it as a standard. Are there anyways to gradually upgrade to a system such as this or will it be a total replacement?
Not everyone *wants* to learn java, there are alot better languages that they could teach OO in. I personally wouldn't like to learn java, i think that they could do a resonable course in C++ - what does everyone think the test should be in... Poll Time!
How long will it take for the building to go up on ebay... i'd put down a couple million, imagine the paintball? Although you would be a little i would be a little more worried cause you would get more than just welts:)...
