    So what was the eventual cost of the PSN call? Is it cost-effective to route all our company's product support calls to them instead of Microsoft like we've been doing?

    I've had some problems with Access too. It doesn't handle the list that I keep very well.

    What would be the most acute arc achievable on the pogo? With that piece of material just sticking out in front, I'd be worried about it snapping and taking out several coeds.

    As soon as possible, helmet laws should be enacted to prevent head injuries as a result of misuse of the mega-pogo stick. Laws requiring neck braces should probably be enacted also, but seeing as how neck braces are not as commonly available as helmets we can put off passing that law for a while.

    You could probably just rely on WindowsXP to handle the storage for you. These files will go to "My Pictures", these to "My Music", these to "My Documents", these to "My Applications", and these to "My Secret Stash of Porn - Password Protected".

    Besides hard drive space, the larger and more bloated a program gets, the more RAM it begins to take up. I have no problem with picking up a larger HD for a couple hundred bucks, but here at the North Pole RAM prices are still fairly expensive.

    It's certainly smaller than anything I'd leave under your Christmas tree.

    When will we see these things cheap enough to buy off the shelf? Even if the prices stay high, the ability to store that much capacity in such a small space will be a boon to the remote storage peddlers.

    Trucking photons to their destination is something no one's figured out yet.

    A cube of gas is not something that is easily kept localized.

    It will cost you a lot more in time and resources to come up with your own embedded solution instead of buying a solution from someone else.

    Is there any reason you want to limit yourself to Linux? There are several other embedded system providers out there which could give you similar functionality.

    What incentive does a company have for GPL'ing work that you do that benefits *them*? Obviously, if you work in your spare time on a project like Apache and your company produces children's educational software then a contract that allows (or doesn't disallow) GPL'ing of your software makes sense. But if you work on Apache by night and IIS by day, I think your employer would be very foolish to allow you to do so.
