Smurfing the kid's server wouldn't solve a damned thing. All that would accomplish is making an assload of Romanians pissed 'cause you killed their ISP.
I think a swift kick in the nuts is a much better solution. Make that little bastard sterile and he'll think twice before he smurfs another server!
Beer has lots of sugar... I think that the robot should be converted to beer power! Just think of it, a legion of fat, drunken robots lazing about in suburban America
If this is allowed to run it's course, it may very well end up like airbags in cars... "optional", but you need a government permit to even turn them off.
