The last line is the worst: "Verizon argues that the rules amount to 'government compulsion to turn over [network owners'] private property for use by others without compensation."
In other words - handing over your private information to others would be OKAY if only Verizon got paid for it.
I'm sure that many decades ago when X-Rays were first introduced, they were also touted as being "completely safe" at the time as well... until we learned better.:( Seems to me that human beings rush to realize the profit potential from their ideas, long before they fully evaluate any potential pitfalls that could arise from them...
But considering that tobacco industry has been selling a product that kills their customers for years and they're still in business, perhaps I have over-valued the importance of selling products that don't kill their consumers?!?! But in the mean time I'd personally rather not be a guinea pig for terahertz beams.
So the Mars One project is basically asking for volunteers to board Apollo 13 then?? Yikes!:S You'll be famous... but you will likely never return or see your loved ones again.
+1 Now is the time to take risks... using your time, rather than your $$$. ^_^
I started as a web designer/web developer working out of my parent's basement at age 15 simply because that was better than a "McJob" at the time! I trolled message boards looking for people desperate to hire cheap scripting/development help - and my contracts slowly got bigger and more lucrative as time passed. These days there are entire websites dedicated to connecting contracts and contractors (see elance.com). By the time my "last summer" before University had come to an end, I actually had to delay moving into residence so that I could wrap up a sizeable contract (and get paid for it!)

Is it just me, or is NFC technology not quite near enough to be secure?!?! :S
Does that mean every time someone fills in an online form using bullsh!t information; said person is now obliged to pay Apple a royalty?!?! :p
